A Kiwi mum has created the world’s first biofluorescent head lice treatment — a green powder that makes lice eggs glow under UV light, making them easier to spot and remove.
Inspired by veterinary techniques, this innovative solution has been tested successfully in schools. With one in three children likely to contract lice during peak seasons, this breakthrough offers a fun, effective way to tackle infestations and reduce secondary infections.
Backed by the University of Auckland and awarded an United Nations Sustainable Goal award, the treatment is now available in both local and international markets.
