Three things that give a nit away
Powder on, brush out, UV light on. Then hunt for the glowing dots. A real egg gives itself away in a few clear ways.
A roundish, glowing dot
Viable eggs show up as a small, roundish glowing dot. It's brighter and more defined than the faint sparkle of any stray mica powder.
Right next to the scalp
The eggs most likely to hatch sit within about 10 mm of the scalp on a single strand. Focus behind the ears, around the crown and at the nape.
Stuck fast to the hair
A real nit is glued firmly to the hair shaft. It won't flick or brush away like dandruff, sand or hair-product residue.
It's simple science
Lice eggs (nits) are made of proteins. Our Glo-Powder is specially designed to cling to those proteins, so when you shine the UV light, the powder stuck to the eggs fluoresces and glows. That shows you where they are.
