How does ISpy Glo-powder work?
Our ISpy Glo-powder is specially formulated to adhere to nit eggs and fluoresce under UV light for easy detection.
Lice eggs (also called nits) are made up of proteins. Our Glo-Powder is specially designed to bind to those proteins.
When you shine the UV light on the hair, the powder that’s clinging to the eggs will glow — showing you exactly where they are.
So what you’re seeing is: Glo-Powder + Egg Proteins = Glowing Orb

Could ISpy Glo-powder harm my child’s head?
While ISpy Glo-powder is non-toxic, we recommend the following cautions:
Always read the label and use only as directed. Keep out of reach of children. For external use only.
Avoid contact with face and eyes. If contact does occur, flush with water. If irritation occurs discontinue use. Do not inhale.
Not designed for regular daily usage. Not intended for children under 2 years of age due to powder component.

What is ISpy Glo-powder made from?
ISpy Glo-Powder is formulated with cosmetic-grade cornstarch, mica, and a non-toxic fluorescent mineral pigment.
Cornstarch helps the powder lightly bind to the protein structure of lice eggs (nits).
Mica improves smooth distribution through the hair.
The fluorescent mineral pigment is activated by UV light, causing bound powder to glow.
When exposed to the included UV light, eggs appear as bright glowing points — making them easier to identify and remove accurately.
The mechanism is physical and optical, not chemical or insecticidal.
ISpy Glo-Powder does not kill lice — it highlights eggs so they can be thoroughly combed out, helping reduce missed eggs and reinfestation.
The ingredients are derived from naturally occurring plant and mineral materials, with the fluorescent component engineered for safe, consistent performance.

What is ISpy Lice Lotion made of?
Unlike traditional lice treatments that rely on insecticides, our lotion uses dimethicone, a type of silicone oil, to physically deal with head lice. Instead of poisoning lice, dimethicone works by coating and covering the lice completely. Once coated, lice can’t move or breathe properly, and they die because they are effectively blocked off.
This is important because it means lice can’t build resistance to the treatment the way they often do with chemical-based products. Over time, insecticides lose effectiveness as lice adapt—but dimethicone works mechanically, so it stays reliable.
Our lotion is also gentle and fragrance-free, so it avoids the stinging eyes, harsh smells, or strong reactions that many parents and children dislike with other treatments. Because it simply smothers the lice, it can be safely reapplied if needed without worry of chemical overload.
Dimethicone – A type of silicone oil. It’s smooth, silky, and commonly found in hair serums, baby creams, and skin moisturisers.
Cyclopentasiloxane & Cyclotetrasiloxane – These are lightweight silicones that help spread the lotion evenly through the hair so that it coats every strand. They evaporate after use, leaving no strong smell or sticky residue.

Our Glo-Powder and Lice Lotion are made from a combination of overseas and local ingredients. All our NZ and AU kits are hand packed by the wonderful team at Will & Able, New Zealand.

Shipping questions
What does URGENT delivery mean?
We understand getting your NitKit out to you as fast as possible is super important, so we use Post Haste’s URGENT courier delivery service
This is an 'overnight by end of next working day’ courier service, so assuming your order is placed with us before 4pm you should get it the next business day. However, as we all know, rural and interisland deliveries can take a bit longer. A Track and Trace link is included on your confirmation email, so you can keep an eye on your delivery as it makes its way to you.
No signature is required – the courier will leave the NitKit for you at your place if you're not in
